RT8810 是双相同步 Buck 控制器，集成了包括字句二极管在内的具有高驱动能力的 MOSFET 驱动器，外部元件少，空间占用少，可用于大电流的应用中，是一个紧凑、高效、安全而且成本低廉的解决方案。它可将反馈电压精确调节至与内部 0.6V 参考电压相同或是追踪 0.4V~2.5V 的外部参考电压，使用 MODE 引脚可控制其工作在单相或双相模式下，使之非常适合于 PCI-Express 接口图形卡之类的双输入场合。当它被设定在自动模式时，它可在轻载时以单相运行进行操作，因而可在全负载范围内维持其高效率的运作。此外，它的门极驱动电压是可调节的，这可使其效率得到最大化，性能得到最优化。它采用无损耗的 RDS(ON) 电流检测技术进行电流平衡和过流保护，具有可调节的软启动、相数可调和过流门限可调等特性。
